The IDB grants US$ 80 million to BICE and the City Bank for green projects en Argentina

Disbursements will be made through BID Invest. The objective of these loan agreements is to facilitate greater investments through the provision of long-term credit, in dollars and with characteristics according to the nature of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Besides, BICE has issued a ‘sustainable’ bond -the first one with these features launched in Latin America -that was fully subscribed by BID Invest. The funds will be earmarked to projects that meet one of these objectives: fight against poverty, gender equality, clean energy, decent work, innovation and infrastructure, reduction of inequalities and climate action.
