The ECB has bought green bonds as part of its debt purchase program

The European Central Bank (ECB) has acquired green bonds within the framework of its program of debt purchases, both corporate and public. Since the announcement of the corporate bond purchase program in March, 2016 corporate green bonds spreads have been reduced continuously and a significant part of this effect can be attributed to the Eurosystem purchases.
