IDB Invest allocates funding to financial institutions to support women entrepreneurs and SMEs in Brazil

IDB Invest financed Banco Daycoval SA of Brazil for a value of 300 million dollars, through a new tranche of a B Loan mobilized with 13 lenders. The proceeds will strengthen and expand Banco Daycoval’s loan portfolio focused on women entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The lenders participating in this transaction are Itaú BBA International Plc, Banco Santander SA, Banco Latinoamericano de Comércio Exterior SA, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Blue Orchard Microfinance Fund, Cargill Financial Services International, Inc., Wells Fargo Bank, NA , Commerzbank AG, Standard Chartered Bank, Banco de Occidente (Panamá) SA, BHD International Bank SA, Bradesco BAC Florida Bank and Caixabank, SA.

IDB Invest will provide advisory services to the bank to improve its inclusion, diversity and gender equality programs. It will also help Daycoval in identifying opportunities in their talent recruitment and development, as well as in their purchasing and acquisitions processes.
