IDB Invest and Banco Mundo Mujer promote financing for women-led microenterprises in Colombia

Banco Mundo Mujer S.A. (BMM) of Colombia received financing from IDB Invest for an amount equivalent to 30 million dollars in Colombian pesos.

The purpose of the loan is to support the growth of BMM’s portfolio in the segment aimed at women-led microenterprises. The funds will be used for working capital or asset purchases.

The transaction has a term of 3 years. IDB Invest will also provide BMM with advisory services to promote and strengthen gender equality internally.
