On August 31th, 2022, the National Securities Commission (CNV) of Argentina approved the “Simplified and Guaranteed Regime for issuance of negotiable obligations with social impact” through the General Resolution 940.
The new regime seeks to promote access to financing for actors in the socio-productive economy, provided they have a social evaluation and a guarantee, both granted by subjects regulated by this body. The simplification proposed by the new resolution equates the conditions offered to SMEs for those potential issuers that do not fit into said category, such as civil associations and larger-scale cooperatives. This instrument is the result of joint work within the CNV-UNDP Lab.
