Banking on natural capital

Consultancy firm Deloitte working with WWF-Australia (Word Wide Found for Nature), launched the “Banking on natural capital” report with the aim of exploring how the growing ecological deficit can be addressed by mobilizing investment in the conservation, sustainable management and restoration of natural capital assets. Deloitte engaged with more than 20 global organisations in the financial services industry through a targeted survey and select interviews, to pull together this report.

Banking on Natural Capital represents a vision for a global economy that is transparent, inclusive and ecologically sustainable. The report is aimed at players from across the financial world and the services industry. It seeks to present an overview of what investing in nature entails, the main barriers and enablers to this, and some key actions that can be taken to move towards a nature-positive economy.
