IDB Invest publishes first Sustainable Bond Allocation and Impact Report
IDB Invest published its first Sustainable Bond Allocation and Impact Report, which indicates that during 2021 the financing program totaled $1.6 billion under its Sustainable Debt Framework.
The program included $1 billion in sustainability bonds (62% of the total), $424 million in social bonds (26%) and $186 million in green bonds (12%), to finance green and inclusive private sector projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The report provides investors with information to assess the impact of their investment, including data on IDB Invest’s sustainable bonds and on the projects financed with bond proceeds, detailing impact indicators and case studies of eligible projects. An independent review by Sustainalytics confirmed that the report conforms to the resource use criteria and reporting commitments in the IDB Invest Sustainable Debt Framework.
