BNDES approves financing for the construction of 17 solar plants in Brazil

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved the financing for the construction of 17 solar plants summing up 19 MW of installed capacity, in distributed generation modality.
The solar projects will be executed by the French company Helexia (Voltalia Group) in the municipalities of Loanda, Cidade Gaúcha, Alto Paraná (Paraná state), Paranaíba (Mato Grosso do Sul state) and Rolim de Moura (Rondonia state). The financing, structured as Project Finance, will be for an amount in local currency equivalent to approximately 17 million dollars.
The first solar plants will come into operation during the year 2023. It is estimated an emissions reduction of 77 thousand tons of CO2 equivalent in the 25 years of useful life.
