Scotiabank Chile places its first green bond in the international market

Scotiabank Chile, a Chilean private bank headquartered in Canada, has issued its first bond linked to ESG criteria in international markets, aligned with the entity’s Global Sustainable Finance Framework. The placement was made in the Japanese market for an amount of 5,000 million yen (equivalent to 35 million dollars).
The resources will be used to finance assets, businesses or projects in the categories of renewable energy, energy efficiency, pollution prevention and control, among others.
