Chile announces 2024 financing plan including issuances linked to sustainability

The Ministry of Finance of Chile has announced its financing plan for the year 2024, which contemplates the issuance of Treasury bonds for a maximum amount equivalent to 16.5 billion dollars.
The Government of Chile reaffirms its commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) themes, reinforcing its placements with green, social, and sustainable characteristics and also considering including Sustainability-linked Bonds (SLB) with performance indicators, as has been done previously in 2022 and 2023.
According to official estimates, the participation of ESG instruments would reach 38% of the debt stock in 2024, marking a 2-percentage points growth compared to the end of 2023.
