Argentina promotes sustainable and resilient growth with support from the IDB

Argentina will receive a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for 350 million dollars in order to promote sustainable and resilient growth in the country.

The loan aims at policies that will strengthen the government and allow it to plan, finance and implement actions that reduce emissions in the most sensitive sectors such as energy and agriculture, as well as promote policies fostering the circular economy and creating favorable conditions for sustainable finance. In addition, the program includes actions for the protection of biodiversity.

The financing scheme consists of a 20-year repayment term, a 1-year disbursement period, 5.5-year grace period and an interest rate based on SOFR.
