Argentine Stock Exchanges and Markets (BYMA) launched a Sustainability Index

BYMA, together with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and with the support of the Clarín Group, launched a Sustainability Index that will allow identifying and highlighting the leading companies in Environmental, Social, Sustainable development and Corporate governance matters (ESG-D). The Index has a non-commercial nature and evaluates the companies’s performance in the four ESG-D pillars, based on the reported and publicly available information. The methodology is based on the IndexAmericas and the data analysis is carried out by Thomson Reuters. It is the first index of this type in Argentina, aimed at promoting the visibility of companies with best practices, in order them to be able to access new types of financing.
