Cemex contracts sustainability-linked loan for 500 million euros

Cemex, a Mexican multinational company in the construction materials sector, has contracted a sustainability-linked loan for an amount of 500 million euros, maturing in 2025. The loan is aligned with Cemex’s Green Financing Framework in force since 2021, which considers decarbonization, air quality, clean electricity and water management measures.

Cemex had recently announced the adjustment of its emissions reduction targets to the goal of limiting the increase in the planet’s temperature to 1.5°C by 2030.
