Chile announces the development of a green taxonomy
01/25/2022 Since 4 years
The Chilean Ministry of Finance announced the creation of a preparatory committee for the development of a green taxonomy in Chile. This is a classification tool that will determine which activities are eligible for green, climate, and/or sustainable financing.
The green taxonomy aims to be a guide to facilitate the comparison of alternatives, providing transparency and avoiding greenwashing in the financial market.
The initiative is aligned with the Government of Chile’s commitment to orient financial flows towards a carbon neutral economy, a just transition and sustainable development.
