Modernization of the National Environmental System in Colombia

The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Colombia seeks to modernize the National Environmental System (SNA) created by Law 99 of 1993, addressing the country’s challenges in terms of conservation, land use planning, information transparency and expansion of participation to fight climate change.
A series of meetings and dialogues will be carried out with the purpose of broadening participation and consolidating the views of the different stakeholders of the SNA. The objective is the SNA democratization, modernization and harmonization after 30 years since its creation.
