The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and Ecuador have agreed to cooperate in energy and sustainable development

IADB president, Luis Alberto Moreno, and Economy and Finance Minister of Ecuador, Richard Martínez, announced having signed four loans amounting to US$631 millions to improve water and sanitation, energy, social housing and strengthen fiscal stability in Ecuador. These loans have been co-financed separately, by the Government of Spain, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
